DeviantART-The perfect website for artists of any kind who are different from a customary, traditional, or generally accepted standard. DeviantART is a place where journalists, artists, writers, and animators can post there work. While getting feedback from other artists, you can also make new friends from all around the world, join a friend group, or even keep contact with a buddy that moved far away.
About DeviantART.
Some consider this website to be ridiculous, for others it's a safe haven of curiosity and visual expression. "I think the website is a creatively freeing place where you can express yourself without limitations. said (name censorship)."I like being able to get comments, from other artists, on my work. Then I can tell what I'm doing wrong and know how I can improve on it." Deviant art isn't just a site for posting your work, you can also purchase stuff like T-shirts, stickers, lanyards, fridge magnets, postcards, coasters, ceramic mugs, mouse pads, greeting cards and more!
"This is called "deviant" art because the people and their creations are both devious in every unique way." said (name censorship), a deviant with two years of deviation experience.
Parent Safety issues.
The information about yourself can be lies, such as where you live. The DeviantART creators and workers don't mind you keeping your information a secret for safety reasons.
Some parents might also be concerned due to the fact that some pictures might be too inappropriate for their children to be looking at. DeviantART came prepared for this situation. They have a maturity content advisory that lets you know what ages the artists think is appropriate for viewers under 13 and 18. When you first sign up to be a deviant it asks for your birthday, so even if youre 13 or 18 and older it asks you if you would like to view the picture. It occasionally even tells you what is in the picture (such as blood or fighting scenes).
There is also an option that will allow for only you to pick your friends and no one can friend you without your permission.
Just having an account is cool enough, but the amount of things you can do as a deviant is even cooler. There's such a wide variety of things you can do you'll wind up spending days in effort of satisfying yourself and your account. "The first thing I did when I joined DeviantART was write a journal entry about how excited I was to finally be a Deviant," Says (name censorship). "I remember When I first discovered the site I couldn't wait to become a part of it. There were so many artists that I wanted to meet and personally talk to like (name censorship) who won a contest for my favorite magazine! After I got settled I began posting my artwork and getting lots of handy feedback."
Every person that logs on to their Deviant page has a particular thing they like to do first. Some Deviants such as (name censorship) a Deviant for (blank) years prefer to sit back and read her friends journals every once in awhile. "I tend to find My friends lives more interesting than my own sometimes so I like to just sit down and get in there world for the moment and see whats going on with their lives," says (Name censorship).
DeviantART, for a fact, is a site that will assure you fun. When asked if she would consider staying a Deviant (censorship) says, Definitely, I think its a great opportunity to learn and grow as an artist. This reassured many that DeviantART really is the place to go.
